Did you mean the JCP page? JCP is used for major milestones. Our
java.net page (it has a downloads link on the right) has the latest and
greatest work in progress, and should have no restrictions for access
(let me know if there are).
I hope to push out the PRD before the end of Dec.

They are by no means stupid - as you saw, I also noticed the same
