After a long period of inactivity, we're excited to announced that
we've restarted JSR 236 and plan to include it in Java EE 7! As a part
of this "reboot", we've update the JSR text to match our current plans
and schedule, and we've updated the licensing details to match our
other Java EE-related JSRs. Part of this reboot includes a rebooted
expert group.
We're confirming that existing members want to remain part of the
expert group and we're looking for new expert group members as well.
The rebooted JSR 236 will be operating under JCP 2.8 so you'll be able
to track all our activities at the corresponding java.net project.
We're always interested in your feedback, but if you see any issues
that can't be dealt with otherwise, you can always express your
concerns on the Public Review ballot for the JSR. Please let us know if
you have any concerns.
