Creating a Local Catalog


In this demonstration you will define a local catalog, but exclude a specific agreement from the catalog.


Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Catalogs page.

     

    Click the Manage Catalogs link.

  2. Click the Create Local Catalog menu bar.

  3. Select the appropriate BU for the catalog.

     

    Click the Procurement BU list item.

  4. Click the Vision Operations list item.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Catalog field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "HQ Local Catalog"
    .

  6. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Local catalog for US employees."
    .

  7. Click the Exclude items from specific agreements option.

  8. Click the Select and Add button.

  9. On the Select and Add: Agreements window you will specify the agreements that should be included or excluded in the catalog.

     

    For this catalog you will exclude items from agreement 1001139.

  10. Enter the desired information into the Agreement field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "1001139"
    .

  11. Click the Search button.

  15. For this example, you will make sure items not included in any agreement will be included in this catalog. Only the items for the categories you choose to include in this catalog will be available.

     

    Click the Include all master items option.

  16. In this topic, only the items for the categories you choose will be included in the catalog.

  18. The categories Mobile Phones was added for you. Add the category office supplies.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Category Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "office supplies"

  20. There are two category types. Browsing and Item.

     

    Selecting the Office Supplies Browsing Category will also include all its descendent item categories in this local catalog.

     

    Selecting the Office Supplies Item Category, will include only this particular item category in this local catalog.

  21. Click the Office Supplies row header.

  23. In this example, the category Laptop Computers was added for you.

     

    Click the Done button.

  24. This local catalog now includes all items with categories Laptop Computers, Office Supplies, and Mobile Phones, as long as the item is not in the agreement 1001139.
