Monitoring the Payroll Flow Status

Monitor the status of payroll flows and view the status of individual tasks.

In this topic, you will view the details of a payroll flow.

Steps:

  1. Hello, my name is Dee and today I will be showing you how to monitor the status of your payroll flows.

    Step 1
  2. In this demo I will show you how to view the status of payroll flows that are in progress, drill down to flows that you want to view, and view items that require your attention.

    Step 2
  3. To begin, let’s open the payroll dashboard.

    Click the Navigator link.

    Step 3
  4. Click the Payroll Dashboard link.

    Step 4
  5. I can use the Items Requiring My Attention region to monitor notifications I receive about the flows. For example, I can see warning and error messages, and reminders about tasks that are overdue.

    Step 5

  6. I can monitor the status of the submitted flows from the Payroll Flows in Progress region.

    Step 6

  7. Notice the graph. Each segment corresponds to a different flow pattern. For the total, I can point to a segment, or the number associated with it, if the segment is too small.

    Step 7

  8. Click the Salaried Employee Flow graphic.

    Step 8
  9. The View Activity Status table lists the Salaried Employee flows. It shows the status of the phase of the payroll cycle that a flow has reached.

    Step 9
  10. I can hover on each status icon to monitor the flow’s progress in an activity.

Click the View Process Status button.

    Step 11
  12. Notice that the Prepayments process has not yet started.

    Step 12

Click the Weekly Payroll Period link.

    Step 13
  14. The Payroll Checklist page includes a table that lists the tasks in the sequence they are performed.

The page organizes the tasks for a payroll flow by activity and task group.
