Steps:
Hello, my name is John and today I will talk about importing sales account information from a file.
Step 1In this demo, I will show you how to create the source system required for importing your sales account data.
Step 2This is the fourth in a series of demos that show how to import sales accounts from a file.
In this series, we are importing a sample template you can download from support.oracle.com.
Step 3You create a source system so that you can identify the source of your legacy data in your import file.
Oracle permits you to import data from multiple sources. Without identifying the source, you could end up with duplicate IDs which would corrupt your data.
Step 4When you create the source system, you enter a code that you use for all the Original System attributes in the import file.
Step 5This code, together with the Original System Reference IDs in the file, ensure uniqueness of your data.
Step 6To create the source system, sign in as a user with setup responsibilities and navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area.
Step 7Click the Navigator link.
Step 8Click the Setup and Maintenance link.
Step 9Search for the Manage Trading Community Source Systems task.
Step 10Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter
Click the Search button.
Step 12Let's go to the task.
Click the Go to Task button.
Step 13Now let's create the source system.
Step 14Click the Create button.
Step 15In the Code field, enter the value you will use in the import file.
Step 16And enter a name for the source system.
Step 17Enable this source system for importing customer data by selecting the Enable for Trading Community Members option.
Step 18Let's save our new source system and we are done.
Step 19In this demo, you learned how to create a source system to identify the source of your data for import.
You can find additional learning resources in your Oracle Fusion Help application, as well as in the Oracle Learning Library, and at Oracle University. Thank you.
