Steps:
Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing extending applications using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo, we will test the UI of a child object in Application Composer.
Step 2This is the last in a series of related demos that show how to create a child object, add fields to it, and display it in the UI of a parent object.
Step 3You can test your child object in the sandbox where you created it to make sure it works before you roll it out.
Step 4We begin by navigating to the parent object work area, Trouble Tickets in our example.
Click the Navigator link.
Step 5Click the Trouble Tickets link.
Step 6Now let's view a trouble ticket.
Step 7Click the Abstract link.
Step 8Activities appear on a subtab in the Edit Trouble Ticket page. Here you can create, edit, and delete activity records.
Because Activity is a child object of Trouble Ticket, this is the only place in the runtime application where activities appear.
And remember that because Activity is a child object, an activity you create doesn't get saved until you save the trouble ticket.
Step 9
Now let's create an activity.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 10We enter the name.
Enter the desired information into the Activity Name field. Enter
Press [Tab].
Step 12And a description.
Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter
Let's add another.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 14Enter the desired information into the Activity Name field. Enter
Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter
We are done. Remember that the activities we created aren't saved until we save the Trouble Ticket.
Click the Save and Close button.
Step 17In this demo, we tested the UI of a child object in Application Composer.
