Steps:
Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing extending applications using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo we'll test the trigger we created on a custom object in Application Composer. As you may recall, the trigger prevents users from creating activities on closed trouble tickets.
Step 2This is the second of two demos that show you how to create a trigger and test it.
Step 3We begin by navigating to the trouble tickets work area.
Click the Navigator link.
Step 4Click the Trouble Tickets link.
Step 5We'll edit the existing ticket and set its status to Closed.
Click the Abstract link.
Step 6Click the Status list.
Step 7Click the Closed list item.
Step 8We have to save for the trigger to work.
Click the Save button.
Step 9Now let's try to create an activity.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 10We get the error message we expected.
Click the OK button.
Step 11Now let's see if we can create an activity when we reset the status to Open.
Click the Status list.
Step 12Click the Open list item.
Step 13Click the Save button.
Step 14Click the Add Row button.
Step 15Everything works as we expected.
Click the Cancel button.
Step 16We are done.
Step 17In this demo, we tested a trigger we created for an object in Application Composer.
