Steps:
Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing extending applications using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo, I will test the UI we created for a custom object.
Step 2This is the last in a series of related demos that show how to create a custom object, add fields to it, and create the user interface.
In this series, we create a simple trouble ticket application that the sales organization can use to log customer issues.
Step 3To test the UI we created, we'll navigate to the Trouble Ticket work area.
Step 4There is no need to leave the sandbox. We can do all our testing here before publishing our changes. The only thing we need to think about is not to add too many records because they don't stay in the sandbox.
Step 5
Click the Navigator link.
Step 6Click the Trouble Tickets link.
Step 7Here we are. Let's see what the regional search looks like.
Click the Search list.
Step 8Click the Trouble Ticket list item.
Step 9The search does include the three fields we selected. Let's go on and create a ticket.
Step 10Click the Create button.
Step 11We'll summarize the issue in the Abstract.
Enter the desired information into the Abstract field. Enter
We'll select the company logging the ticket.
Click the Company list.
Step 13Click the APEX Communications list item.
Step 14And we describe the problem they are having.
Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter
Clearly a hardware issue.
Click the Type list.
Step 16Click the Hardware list item.
Step 17We're done so let's save.
Click the Save and Close button.
Step 18Now let's edit the ticket.
Step 19Click the Abstract link.
Step 20Click the Expand Show Details button.
Step 21Notice the Details section. That's where we would see any child objects and other related information. Since we haven't created any subtabs in Application Composer this section is blank
Step 22Let's see if we can add an attachment.
Click the Manage Attachments button.
Step 23Click the Cancel button.
Step 24We've tested edit, so let's look at the local search.
Click the Save and Close button.
Step 25Click the Expand Search button.
Step 26That's the basic search. Let's see advanced.
Click the Advanced button.
Step 27In the advanced search, users can change the default search operators we set up for each field.
Step 28In this demo you learned how to test the UI of a custom object in Application Composer.
You can find additional learning resources in your Oracle Fusion Help application, as well as in the Oracle Learning Library, and at Oracle University. Thank you.
