Reviewing the New Field for Capturing Personal Information in the Simplified UI

Steps:

1. Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing customizing the consumer and contact pages in the Simplified UI using Application Composer.

   Step 1

2. In this demo, we will review the Date of Birth field we added to the consumer and contact pages in the Simplified UI.

   Step 2

3. This is the second of two demos that  show how to customize personal  information on the consumer and contact pages.

   Step 3

4. Let's look at the Create Consumer page first.

    

    

   Click the Create button.

   Step 4

5. Click the Consumer object.

   Step 5

6. Here's the field.

   Step 6

7. We can use the calendar to enter the birth date.

   Click the Select Date button.

   Step 7

8. Or we can just type it in.

   Click in the Date of Birth field.

   Step 8

9. Click the Cancel button.

   Step 9

10. Now let's edit a consumer.

    Click the John Smith (San Francisco, US) link.

    Step 10

11. Click the More... button.

    Step 11

12. And enter his birth date.

    Click in the Date of Birth field.

    Step 12

13. Enter the desired information into the Date of Birth field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "11/20/1967"
    .

14. Click the Save and Close button.

15. Click the Done button.

16. Now let's edit a customer to see the contact UI.

     

    Click the Best Customer (San Francisco , US) link.

17. Click the More... button.

18. Click the Contacts vertical tab.

19. Click the Add Contact button.

20. Let's create the contact.

     

    Click the Create Contact button.

21. Click the Prefix list.

22. Click the Mr. list item.

23. Enter the desired information into the First Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Weiwei"
    .
    Step 23

24. Enter the desired information into the Last Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Wong"
    .
    Step 24

25. Enter the desired information into the Mobile Area Code field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "415"
    .
    Step 25

26. Enter the desired information into the Mobile Phone field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "5551212"
    .
    Step 26

27. Click in the Date of Birth field.

    Step 27

28. Enter the desired information into the Date of Birth field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "08/10/1967"
    .
    Step 28

29. We're done.

    Click the Save and Close button.

30. Click the OK button.

31. Now let's see the edit contact page.

    Click the Weiwei Wong link.
