Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing customizing applications using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo, I will show you how to set up the workflow to send e-mail notifications using the template we created.
Step 2This is the fifth in a series of demos that shows you how to create a workflow to update fields, create tasks, and send e-mails.
Step 3To enable the sending of e-mails from our workflow, we begin by clicking the Create button in the E-mail notification region.
Click the Create button.
Step 4We enter a name.
Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter
And select the e-mail template we created earlier.
Click the E-Mail Templates list.
Step 6Click the Budget Available Date UpdateOpportunity [$Name$] customer budget available date has changed list item.
Step 7We want to send the e-mails immediately after the workflow is triggered, so we leave the default execution schedule.
Click the Expand Execution Schedule button.
Step 8We have a number of ways of selecting e-mail recipients.
Step 9We can select any of the e-mail addresses stored in opportunity fields, such as the customer primary contact.
Step 10We can select any of the resources working on the record.
Step 11We can send the e-mails to everyone with a particular role, to all the Sales Managers, for example.
Step 12And we can choose individual resources.
Step 13We can also enter specific e-mail addresses.
Step 14We want to send the e-mail to the opportunity sales team, so we edit the Relative Users on Record.
Click the Add Recipients button.
Step 15And select the opportunity team members.
Click the Opportunity Team Member list item.
Step 16Click the Move selected items to other list button.
Step 17Click the OK button.
Step 18We save.
Click the Save button.
Step 19And save again to update the workflow.
Click the Save button.
