Testing the Sample Opportunity Workflow



Steps:

  1. Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing customizing  applications using Application Composer.

  2. In this demo, we will test the workflow and the triggered actions, except for the e-mails.

  3. This is the last in a series of demos that shows you how to create a workflow to update fields, create tasks, and send e-mails.

  4. Let's edit an existing opportunity.

    Click the Opportunity Name link.

  5. And enter a budget available date.

     

    Click the Select Date button.

  6. Click the 18 button.

    Step 6
  7. We haven't saved the opportunity yet, so none of the workflow actions are triggered.

    Let's confirm that there are no tasks on the Tasks tab.

     

    Click the Tasks tab.

  8. No task yet.

  9. Now let's save.

    Click the Save and Close button.

    Step 9
  10. And edit the opportunity again.

    Click the Opportunity Name link.

  11. Let's review the changes our workflow triggered.

  12. The Close Date is now the date budget available plus seven.

    Step 12

  13. The level of risk is decreased.

  14. And the strategic value is now set to medium.

  15. Let's check the task.

     

    Click the button of the scrollbar.
