Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing customizing the Customer pages in the Simplified UI using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo, I will show you how to display the custom field we created in the Create Customer and Edit Customer pages.
Step 2This is the second in a series of related demos that show you how to create a custom field on the organization profile object and then use a join to display the field in the UI of a related object.
Step 3In this demo, we are displaying a custom field in the UI, so we begin by selecting the Pages link under the object where we created the field.
Click the Pages link.
Step 4We're editing simplified pages.
Click the Simplified Pages tab.
Step 5Let's display the field in the Create Customer page first. Let me show you where it will appear in the UI.
Step 6The new field will display in the top section of the page.

Let's display the field.
Click the Edit Creation Page link.
Step 8We have to scroll to find it.
Click the button of the scrollbar.
Step 9Click the button of the scrollbar.
Step 10Click the Siebel Account Number list item.
Step 11Click the Move selected items to other list button.
Step 12The field will appear at the bottom of the organization profile region and we're OK with that.
Step 13Let's save and close.
Click the Save and Close button.
Step 14Now we will display the field to the Edit Customer page. Let me show you where.
Step 15It will display here, in the Basic Information region.
Step 16Let's go ahead and display the field.
Click the Edit Creation Page link.
Step 17Again, we have to scroll.
Click the button of the scrollbar.
Step 18Click the button of the scrollbar.
Step 19Here it is. We can select it by double-clicking.
Double-click the Siebel Account Number list item.
Step 20We're done.
Click the Save and Close button.
