Steps:
Hello, my name is John, and today we are discussing customizing the Customer pages in the Simplified UI using Application Composer.
Step 1In this demo, we will view the custom field in the Create Customer and Edit Customer Pages.
In our example, we created a custom field called Siebel Account Number.
Step 2This is the third in a series of related demos that show you how to create a custom field on the organization profile object and then use a join to display the field in the UI of a related object, in this case the list of sales accounts on the Customers page.
Step 3In this demo, we are reviewing the field we displayed in on the customer pages. Let's drill down on a customer and see the Edit Customer page first.
Click the Apex Enterprises (San Francisco, US) link.
Step 4We click the More button to get to the edit page.
Click the More... button.
Step 5Here's the field.
Step 6Click the Save and Close button.
Step 7Click the Done button.
Step 8Now let's look at the Create Customer page.
Click the Create button.
Step 9Click the Customer object.
Step 10Here it is.
Step 11Now that we know users can enter the Siebel Account Number, let's see how we can display this field in the list of sales accounts. To do this, we'll need to create a join field. This is the subject of the next demo in the series.
Click the Cancel button.
Step 12In this demo, we reviewed the custom number field we displayed in the Create Customer and Edit Customer pages.
