Creating Scoring Rules: Time Frame


You are the Marketing Operations Manager. As new leads are generated, rule-based assignment of the qualification status helps to standardize the qualification process.

 

Based on the results to conditional rules, values are added to the Sales Lead Qualification Score. This demo will show you a simple Scoring rule for a Time Frame.


Steps:

  1. This is the fourth in a series of demos about Creating Scoring Rules. These demos show how you can answer the BANT questions (Budget, Authority, Need and Time Frame). These rules are part of a larger series about Assignment Rules.

     

    Creating Scoring Rules:

           1. Budget Approved

           2.  Budget Pending

           3. Authority Scoring Rule

           4. Time Frame Scoring Rule

    Step 1
  2. Add this rule to the existing Lead Scoring Rules rule set.

     

    The time frame rule measures the period of time for the lead cycle.  This is similar to and usually in line with the the sales cycle.

     

    Click the Add Row button.

  3. A rule name is required.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "TimeFrame"
    .

  4. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Lead cycle duration"
    .

  5. Now, you can add the conditions.

     

    Click the Add Row button.

  6. Click the button to the right of the Object field.

     

    Click the Sales Lead list item.

  7. Click the button to the right of the Attribute field.

     

    Click the Timeframe list item.

  8. Click the button to the right of the Operator field.

     

    Click the Equals list item.

  9. Enter the desired information into the Value field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "THREE_MONTH"
    .

  10. Enter the desired information into the Increase the score by field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "150"
    .

  11. Click the Save and Close button.
