You are the Marketing Operations Manager. You need a rule that assigns your qualified leads to a sales resource.
This is the fourth and final of a series of lead assignment rules to show you how to set up matching candidate rules for assigning leads based on the sales channel and the deal size.
The four rules are:
1. Partner Sales Channel Rule
2. Direct Sales Channel Rule
3. Large Deal Rule
4. Small Deal Rule
Steps:
A rule set named Rule Based Lead Assignment has already been created. Note the several rules that are members of that set. You will add the new rule to the same rule set.
Step 1This rule determines which leads are:
- not assigned a sales channel,
- are valued at less than $1,000,000
Because there is no defined sales channel and the deal size is less than $1,000,000, the lead is assigned to the partner sales resource, Anthony Mason.
Step 2Create your rule.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 3Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter

Add the conditions.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 6Click the Object list to make a selection.
Click the Sales Lead list item.
Step 7Click the Attribute list. You want the Sales Channel item and need to scroll down.
Click the scrollbar.
Step 8Click the Sales Channel list item.
Step 9Click the Operator list.
Click the Equals list item.
Step 10Enter the desired information into the Value field. Enter
Add the condition for the Deal Size.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 12This condition determines which leads are valued at less than $1,000,000. Use the Deal Size attribute to determine this.
Step 13Click the Object list.
Click the Sales Lead list item.
Step 14Click the Attribute list, then scroll down.
Click the Deal Size list item.
Step 15Click the Operator list.
Click the Less Than list item.
Step 16Enter the desired information into the Value field. Enter
To secure the work you have done so far, save your rule.
Click the Save button.
Step 18Now assign the lead to a resource.
