This demonstration shows how to move sections and clauses.
Steps:
Begin by navigating to the Contract Terms tab of the contract.
Step 1In this example, you want to move the Licensing section and its clauses below the General Terms section.
Step 2Moving sections and clauses is a variation of drag and drop. You can also use the Cut and Paste actions to accomplish the same thing.
Step 3Select the section you want to move.
Click the Licensing list item.
Step 4Drag the section on top of the General Term section.
Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the desired location.
Step 5The application displays the Move Section window.
Step 7You have the choice of inserting the section either After or Before General Terms.
Because After is already selected, no entry is required.
Step 8Click the OK button.
Step 9The application moved the section in the outline.
Step 10Now refresh the preview to see your change.
Click the Refresh button.
Step 11Navigate to view your changes by selecting the section.
Click the Licensing list item.
Step 12The preview now reflects the move.
Step 13Now move the Named User Plus License Minimums clause to be the first in this section.
Step 14Begin by expanding the Licensing section to view its clauses.
Click the Expand button.
Step 15Now select the icon for the clause you want to move.
Step 16Drag the item onto the destination clause.
Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the desired location.
Step 17The application displays the Move Clause window.
Step 19You have the choice of moving the clause After or Before the Licensing Rules clause.
You want the clause to be first in the section, so select Before.
Step 20Click the Location list.
Step 21Click the Before list item.
Step 22Click the OK button.
Step 23The application moved the clause.
Step 24You must refresh the preview to see the change.
Click the Refresh button.
Step 25The preview now reflects the change.
