Testing Your Work Area in Application Composer


This demonstration shows how to test the work area that you created for a custom object, a trouble ticket in this example.

 

This is the final in a series of related demonstrations that use the example of creating a trouble ticket application to illustrate how to create a custom object and the related work area.

 

These demonstrations cover:

Steps:

  1. Begin by signing into the Application Composer as a user with a sales representative or a sales manager job role.

     

    Step 1
  2. Click the Navigator link.

  3. The Trouble Tickets menu item appears under the Sales heading as you specified.

     

    Click the Trouble Tickets link.

  4. The Trouble Tickets work area appears, showing the summary table you designed.

  5. To test your work area, create a new trouble ticket.

     

    Click the Create button.

  6. The Create Trouble Ticket page appears displaying the fields you selected.

  7. Abstract is the Record Name field that  Application Composer automatically creates for every custom object.

  8. Enter a summary of the issue into the Abstract field.

     

    Enter "Laptop doesn't work.".

  9. The Company field is the dynamic choice list field that you created in a related demonstration.

  10. Click the Search: Company list.

  13. Enter a description.

     

    Enter "Smoke is coming out of the back.".

  14. The Type field is a fixed choice list field created for the trouble ticket.

  22. You enabled attachments, so let's add an attachment.

     

    Click the Expand Show Details button.
