Creating Lead Ranking Rule: Hot


You are the Marketing Operations Manager. As new leads are generated, rule-based assignment of the qualification status helps to standardize the qualification process.

 

This is the first of a series of three lead ranking rules to show you how to set up classification rules for filtering creditable leads based on the ranking of the Leads Qualification Score.

 

The three rules are:

   1. Lead Ranking: Hot

   2. Lead Ranking: Warm

   3. Lead Ranking: Cool


Steps:

  1. All rules are part of a rule set. Prior to building this rule, a rule set called LeadRanking was added and saved.

     

    Now you will add the rules.

    Step 1
  2. Click the Add Row button.

    Step 2
  3. Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "HOTLeads"
    .

  4. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Pursue these leads first"
    .

  5. You  can define the score ranges for HOT Leads to fit your needs. We'll look for Leads with scores higher than 200.

  6. Add the conditions for the rule.

     

    Click the Add Row button.

  8. Click the Sales Lead list item.

  10. You need the Qualification Score value.

     

    Click the vertical scrollbar.

  13. Click the Greater Than list item.

  14. Click in the Value field.

  15. The higher the score, the more likely the lead is to be converted to a sale.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Value field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "200"

  16. Click in the Return the candidate value as field.

  17. Enter the desired information into the Return the candidate value as field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "HOT"
    .

  18. Click the Save and Close button.
