Adding Merge Fields to a Template

This is the first of two related demos:

- Adding Merge Fields to a Template

- Inserting Rules for Conditional Content in a Template

This two-part demo shows how to create a treatment template inviting customers to a tradeshow. It uses conditional content to determine the geographic location of each recipient, and to invite them to the closest show.

This treatment template can be used directly within Mini Campaigns and Sales Campaigns.

Alternatively, the template can be used as a boilerplate when creating various treatments for multistage marketing campaigns. Each iteration can be tailored to meet the needs of specific campaigns and audience members.

In this first  part, you create a new template and add merge fields to greet individual recipients by name.
