Using Sales Coach


You have recently joined a company as a new sales representative. You want information on your company's sales processes and best practices for opportunities in this sales stage, so you decide to use Sales Coach.


Steps:

  1. Starting from the Fusion Home page, navigate to the Opportunities dashboard.

  2. Click the Navigator link.

  3. Click the Opportunities link.

  4. From the Opportunities dashboard, navigate to your opportunity.

     

    Click the First Quarter Opportunity link.

  5. Verify that you are viewing the correct opportunity.

  6. Next, open the Actions menu to view the list of available options.

     

    Click the Actions button.

  7. Enable the Sales Coach feature from the Actions menu.

  8. Click the Deploy Sales Coach link.

  9. Sales Coach will open in a new popup window.

  10. Let's take a look at the information available in the Process Steps region. Notice there are a series of steps outlined to help you move the opportunity along in this sales stage.

  11. To view the list of available documents associated with the sales stage, navigate to the Recommended Documents region.  These documents are seeded by your company and give sales people resources that can provide coaching strategies and best practice information.

  12. The third region contains available activity templates.  Activity templates provide a list of required or recommended activities relevant to the particular sales stage.

  13. Finally, review the list of available assessment templates in the last region. Assessment templates allow the analysis and scoring of a particular opportunity object, such as a product, a competitor, or the overall opportunity.

  14. For assistance with the Sales Coach feature, you can access help topics directly from the Sales Coach user assistance popup window.

     

    Click the Help button.

  15. Clicking on any of these available

    topic links will open the information in a separate tab for you to review.

  16. When you have completed viewing the help topics, close the popup window.

     

    Click the Close button.

  17. Now, exit Sales Coach and return to the Opportunity page.

  18. You can also access Sales Coach information from the right pane.

  19. Notice that the same process steps listed within the Sales Coach popup window are also available here.

  20. Let's view the details of a process step.

     

    Click the Analyze Relationships link.

  21. In the Process Steps popup window, view the tasks that should take place in the selected process step.

  22. When you are finished reviewing the tasks, close the popup window.

     

    Click the Done button.

  23. Detailed tasks for the remaining process steps can be accessed in the same manner.
