In this demonstration, we will test the subtab we created by adding an activity to an existing trouble ticket.
This is the last in a series of related demonstrations on creating a child object in Application Composer. These demonstrations cover:
1. Creating a child object
2. Adding a long text field to a child object
3. Adding a fixed choice list field to a child object
4. Adding a subtab to display the child object records
5. Testing the subtab in the runtime application
Steps:
Begin by signing into Oracle Fusion Applications as a user with a sales representative or a sales manager job role.
Step 1Click the Navigator link.
Step 2Click the Trouble Tickets link.
Step 3The Trouble Tickets work area appears listing existing trouble tickets.
Step 4Let's see if the new subtab appears on an existing trouble ticket.
Click the Laptop doesn't work link.
Step 5The Edit Trouble Ticket page appears.
Step 6Click the Activities tab.
Step 7Now let's create an activity.
Click the Add Row button.
Step 8In the Activity Name field, enter "Reviewed options with customer.".
Step 9Enter a description: "Recommended fire extinguisher."
Step 10Let's add another activity.
Step 11Click the Add Row button.
Step 12In the Activity Name field, enter "Call in experts?".
Step 13Enter the description: "Possibly the fire department could help.".
Step 14Click the Save and Close button.
Step 15This completes the demonstration of testing the subtab that you created to display child object records.
