Creating Scoring Rules: Authority


You are the Marketing Operations Manager. As new leads are generated, rule-based assignment of the qualification status helps to standardize the qualification process.

 

Based on the results to conditional rules, values are added to the Sales Lead Qualification Score. This demo will show you a simple Scoring rule determining if an Authority exists.


Steps:

  1. This is the third in a series of demos about Assignment Manager Scoring rules. These demos show how you can answer the BANT questions (Budget, Authority, Need and Time Frame). These rules are part of a larger series about Assignment Rules.

     

    Creating Scoring Rules:

           1. Budget Approved

           2.  Budget Pending

           3. Authority Scoring Rule

           4. Time Frame Scoring Rule

    Step 1
  2. Add this rule to the existing Lead Scoring Rules rule set.

     

    Click the Add Row button.

    Step 2
  3. A name is required for this rule.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "DecisionMakerIdentified"
    .

  4. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "A decision maker for the lead is identified"
    .

  5. Now add the conditions of the rule.

     

    Click the Add Row button.

  6. Click the button to the right of the Object field.

     

    Click the Sales Lead list item.

  7. Click the button to the right of the Attribute field.

     

    Click the DecisionMakerIdentified list item.

  8. Click on the button to the right of the Operator field.

     

    Click the Equals list item.

  9. Enter the desired information into the Value field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "true"
    .

  10. Now add the score amount.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Increase the score by field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "50"
    .

  11. Click the Save and Close button.
