Managing Your Resource Profile Information


You are Hank Rafferty and you need to edit your profile to update your skills and add a new photo. Your coworkers can view your profile and your employer can assign tasks based on the skills you list.


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Resource Directory.

     

    Here is the information others see when they look at your profile.

  2. Notice that you haven't uploaded your picture.

  3. To update your profile, select the View Resource Details action.

     

    Click the Actions button.

  5. On the Resource page, notice that you cannot update  basic information such as your job title or department. That is done in the human resources application.

  6. But you can upload a picture.

  7. And you can use the five tabs below to add other information.

  8. You want to add new skills to your profile first, so select the Skills tab.

     

    Click the Skills tab.

  9. You want to add a new skill: your proficiency in French.

     

    Click the Content Type list.

  12. Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "French"

  16. You just added French to your language skills. Now specify the level of your French knowledge.

  24. Enter the desired information into the Evaluation Date field. Enter

     "10/12/11"

  26. Now that you have added your language skills, you want to add an additional e-mail address.

  34. Enter the desired information into the E-Mail field. Enter "hank.rafferty@example.com".

  37. Now that you have added the e-mail address, you want to upload a photo.

     "Hank Rafferty"

  44. Your profile now includes your photo. You can change your profile image as needed by deleting the existing image and uploading a new one.
