Oracle Plug-ins for JDK Mission Control

The Oracle Plug-ins for Mission Control can be downloaded and installed using the Eclipse Update Site facility. The following URL functions as an update site. Novice users can follow the step-by-step instructions.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Before starting, make sure that you have downloaded and installed Eclipse 4.16 or later and installed the JDK Mission Control base Plug-ins.

  1. Select Help > Install New Software... menu.

  1. Fill in the following URL in the Work with: text field:

    https://download.oracle.com/technology/products/missioncontrol/updatesites/oracle/7.1.3/ide/

    Press the return key.

  1. Select the check box next to the supported features you want to install. A short description will be displayed under the selection tree for the currently selected feature. Select as many or as few you wish, then click on the Next > button.

  1. View details for the selected features, then click on the Next > button.

  1. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click on the Finish button.

    Make sure that no Security Warning dialog appears. Oracle always signs the JDK Mission Control plug-ins, so if you see such a dialog you should verify the authenticity yourself.

  1. Wait for the plug-ins to be downloaded, then click Restart Now to restart Eclipse and finish the installation.
