Modeling Tables

Offline database tables, their columns and constraints, the foreign keys between them can all be modeled graphically on a database diagram.

To visualize a table on a diagram:

Create a new diagram using the Database Diagram icon in the New Gallery. For more information, see Create a New Diagram.
Create the elements you require on the diagram using the Database Component Palette.

To create a foreign key, click first in the owning table, then in the target table. The Create Foreign Key dialog allows you to choose the column in the target table to associate with the primary key in the owning table. To use an existing column, select it from the list. To create a new column type in the column name. In this case, the new column is created in the target table.
