Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) is one of the standards
and protocols that underpin web services, the others being SOAP
and WSDL. It provides a standard form
for UDDI registries which are used by organizations to publish their web services.
UDDI provides a common standard for publishing and discovering information about web services. This version of JDeveloper only supports web service discovery using UDDI. It contains a UDDI browser that searches a UDDI registry using search criteria that you specify to find web services that are described by Web Services Description Language (WSDL).
For information about how JDeveloper helps you to find SOAP web services in UDDI registries, refer to Locating Web Services.
For more information about UDDI, refer to the UDDI specifications at http://www.uddi.org.
