Locking a File on a WebDAV Connection

Files can be locked on a WebDAV connection. Locking files on a WebDAV connection will prevent anyone using another connection to that WebDAV server from changing that file.

To lock a file on a WebDAV connection:

1. Right-click the file you want to lock from those listed in the WebDAV connection's node in the Navigator pane, then choose Lock.
   
   OR
   
   Select the file you want to lock from those listed in the WebDAV connection's node in the Navigator pane, then choose File | WebDAV | Lock.
   
   

2. The file or folder is locked on the WebDAV server. The email address entered when the WebDAV connection was created is used to identify who locked the file.
   
   A list of the files that you are about to lock is displayed in the Lock Files dialog.

3. Click OK to lock the listed files.
   
   Files that are now locked are display the locked icon in the Navigator pane.
