Generating Master-Detail JClient Forms

Use the Create JClient Form wizard to create master-detail forms derived from the data model of an existing ADF Business Components project.

To create a Business Components project:

Create a project for your Business Components.

In order to use business components with your JClient forms, you must first create a project with a Business Components application module that defines master-detail relationships.
Compile the Business Components project.

To create a JClient project with master-detail JClient forms:

Create a project for your JClient application.
Choose File | New to locate the Create JClient Form wizard in the New Gallery.
In the Categories list, expand Client Tier and select Swing/JClient for ADF .
In the Items list, select Form and click OK to launch the JClient Form wizard.
In the Form Type page, the JClient form type Form appears preselected for use in an application. If you want to create an applet, choose type A pplet.
Also in the Form Type page, select M aster-Detail and click Next and make selections to define the form appearance.
Click the wizard Help button for additional help.
In the Data Model page, select an existing client data model or click New to create a data model application module you wish to develop against and click Next.
In the following pages, make selections appropriate to specify the data your forms are to display. Click the wizard Help button for additional help.
Click Finish.
