Creating a Connection to Standalone OC4J

Deploy applications to standalone instances of Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE (OC4J) via JDeveloper application server connections.

To create a connection to a standalone OC4J instance:

  1. In the Connections Navigator, select Applications Server.

  2. Right-click and choose New Applications Server Connection.

    The Create Application Server Connection wizard opens. For instructions for any page click Help .

    Proceed to the Type page.

  3. On the Type page provide a name for the connection. In the Connection Type list box, choose Standalone OC4J.

  4. On the Authentication page enter a user name and password that corresponds to the Oracle Application Server admin user. Your password is deployed in your project's connection.xml file.

  5. On the Connection page, identify the OC4J server instance.

  6. On the Test page test the connection. If not successful, return to the previous pages of the wizard to fix the configuration.

  7. Click Finish.
