Exporting Database Connections

When you export connections, selected connection descriptors are copied to an XML file. The file can be imported by other users to easily create connections.

To export a database connection:

  1. Select View | Connection Navigator .
  2. Right-click Database and choose Export Connections.
  3. In the Export Connection Descriptors dialog, enter the filename or click Browse to specify a location and name for the connection file.
  4. Once you have specified a filename, select the appropriate connections from the list that appears.
  5. Click OK.

    The connection information for the selected connections is saved in the file and can be imported for use by others.
