Associations are used for connecting entity objects on a diagram. The direction of the association is identified by the open arrowhead. Composite associations (used to cascade properties) are identifies with a solid diamond at one end of the association. View objects can be displayed as a standard node or as an expanded node, by right-clicking the view object on the diagram and choosing View As | Expanded. Entity object usages can be modeled inside expanded view objects. View objects are connected to each other using view links. For more information on view objects, see About Oracle ADF View Objects.
