Setting up an RSS Source

Previous previous|next Next Page

In this module, you learn how to set up an XML Connector Source, otherwise called, an RSS Source.

You learn each and every step that is necessary to create an RSS Source using SES.

Steve is now very comfortable with all the concepts that are related to the XML connector. Now, he needs to try his hands on actually creating an RSS source with the help of Timothy. Timothy first generates all the required configuration files. He saves all of them in a folder. He then keeps some sample feeds ready to crawl. Timothy uses his SES instance and demonstrates how to register a new source type called RSS, for different security models; and how to create sources, and crawl the documents in the feeds.

Steve, Andrew, and Philip are now engrossed with SES, and are watching Timothy create an RSS source without batting an eyelid.
