Crawling Attribute-based Security Documents - Directory Feed |

|
Steve: Timothy, I am now confident about crawling public documents. But, as you know I am very keen about security and I have security attribute values specified for my documents. Can you quickly show me how to crawl attribute-based security documents. Timothy: Sure. As you are now familiar with the process, you can crawl any type of feeds with any security model with ease. I will show you a sample feed with attribute-based security parameters and the corresponding configuration file. I will then show you how you need to register the Source Type for this. You yourself can create a Source and crawl the documents in the feed whenever you need. But, keep one important thing in mind. You will need to have your own Authorization plug-in created for this, and you need to enter the Authorization plug-in name, and the jar file name while creating the source. I will show you the Create Source page in the demo now. Click the Show Me link to view the difference with crawling documents with attribute-based security.
