Board Meeting - Introducing XML Generation

Steve: Well, let me begin. We have an application called Genie, which is used by most of our internal employees and also customers. First and foremost, I must say that I am an incisive believer of security. I am not ready to expose either my application or the enterprise repository. But, at the same time, I would want your Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES) to crawl our Genie application. Is there a possibility to accomplish this?

Timothy: Of course, YES. All that you need to do is, generate XML feeds out of your repository. Oracle SES provides an XML Connector Framework which allows you to crawl any repository that provides XML interface to its content. I can elaborate on this, and also give you a demo by using sample feeds.
