Secure Federated Search |
||||
In this module, you learn about the Secure Federated Search. Timothy suddenly gets similar requests from many members of the documentation team of Oracle Corporation. They have a very large documentation set that one SES box cannot handle. The need of the moment for the team is scalability. Timothy also has requests from other users to enhance the search quality by suggesting actual content to be displayed in the result list. They need to access content which is not indexed in an SES system. To address both the requirements, Timothy decides to use the two ways of the federation framework that SES provides. He uses the federation framework to distribute the index load into multiple SES boxes by using the SES-to-SES Federation for the first case; and uses the Suggested Content feature to address the second case. He ensures optimal query performance in both the cases. You will watch Timothy analyze SES-to-SES federation and the Suggested Content way of federation first, and then creating Federation sources, and Suggested content and resolving the issue.
