Default Applicable View


UPK 12.1 offers authors the option to set the default view presented to end users when they launch a UPK Player which has been configured for in-application support.


Steps:

  1. The publishing wizard provides the option under Player Preferences.

     

    Click the Applicable outline display list.

  2. Applicable List is the default value. This view provides a list of content to the end user.

  3. This is an example of Applicable List in the UPK 11.1 Player.

  4. Applicable Outline provides users with a view of applicable content within the structure of the content outline.

  5. This is an example of Applicable Outline in the UPK 11.1 Player.

  6. The All option is provided for circumstances where the publishing author does not want the Player content to be filtered when it is launched from the application help menu.

  7. This is an example of an unfiltered outline in the UPK 11.1 Player.

    Step 7

The Applicable outline display publishing option allows the author to customize the user experience of the UPK Player to match a variety of different circumstances.
