Share from a Topic

The UPK 12.1 Player offers users a link to share their current topic directly from the topic's Actions menu with several options for more flexible topic sharing. This option is available in See It!, Try It!, Know It?, Test It!, and Do It!

Steps:

1. Click the Actions link.

   Step 1

2. Click the Share link.

   Step 2

3. The default option is Start at the beginning of this topic.

   Step 3

4. You also have the option to Start this topic at the current location. (Note: Know It? mode does not offer this option.)

   Step 4

5. Lastly, you can Start at the outline with this topic selected. This more closely resembles the Share feature from the Player outline.

   Step 5

6. In this example, we'll start this topic at the current frame.

    

   Press [Ctrl+C].

   Step 6

7. To illustrate what the recipient of this Share link will see, we'll open a new browser window.

   Step 7

8. The user clicks on the link or manually pastes it into the address bar of their browser.

   Step 8

9. Notice, the topic starts at the desired frame.

    

   Press [Enter].

   Step 9

Sharing UPK content is much more effective with these additional options.
