Improved Find in Library


It is now easier to find documents in your Library now that the Find in Library action is available from the Related Documents pane and the Library Path is visible in the Related Documents window.


Steps:

  1. Let's take a look at the folder where this content exists in the Library.

     

    Click the Library tab.

  2. You may notice that not all of the content is here. The Defining Stock Locators topic is missing.

  3. Click the Inventory Setup tab.

  4. Let's find where this topic is located.

     

    Right-click Defining Stock Locators.

  5. Click the Find in library button.

  6. We've found the topic was accidentally placed in Another Folder and we can move it back to the desired folder.

  7. Now let's take a look at the improvement to the Related Documents dialog. This dialog can be seen whenever an action potentially affects related documents. For example, Check In, Duplicate, etc.

  8. In this example, we'll Duplicate a section.

     

    Right-click Inventory Setup.

  9. Click the Copy button.

  10. Click Another Folder.

  13. Click the Duplicate (selection and related) list item.

  15. The Path column provides us with the Library location of each document in the list, making it easier to distinguish and locate them.
