New Web Page Editor


The web page editor has been redesigned with many improvements.


Steps:

  1. Click the Create new web page button.

  2. Click in the Name: field.

  3. Enter the desired information into the Name: field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Intro - Hotel Romeo"
    .

  4. Click the Save button.

  5. The new web page editor appears. We will add some example content to the web page to view some of the enhanced features.

  6. Tables are a new feature available in the web page editor. We'll examine tables in more detail later, but for now we'll take a look at some of the other features.

  7. First, let's take a look at the enhanced lists.

  8. We will add another item in this list. Position the cursor at the end of the first item.

     

    Click the Descriptions cell.

  9. Press [Enter] to add a new item in the list.

  10. Increase the indent of the item.

     

    Press [Tab].

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Simulations"

  20. The bulleted list is now three levels. Five levels of bullet images can be customized using styles sheets.

  21. Now, we'll take a look at the properties of the table.

     

    Right-click the Benefits row header.

  24. You can choose to have header rows, columns, or both rows and columns, allowing you to edit their style.

  26. You can choose to label the table type as data or layout which provides additional information to the browser for accessibility.

  28. Another new feature is the ability to find and replace text within the web page.

     

    Click the Replace in this Web Page button.

Tables, bullets, and a new find and replace are some of the highlights of the new web page editor. When we look at style sheets, we'll see how this web page content is styled for both online and document outputs.
