I have used VWP 6.1 extensively and it is the best JSF GUI development you
can find. The table binding wizard is awsome. I can layout all my components
with ease. If they can make all their components ajax enabled by default,
the VWP would blow all competitors away. Conversely, the 1.7.2 icefaces
Plug-in is a piece of crap. There are so many problems with the icefaces
layout editor. The most recent problem I encountered was when I bind a list
to the icefaces table, the paginator and my column psuedo data on the editor
disappear. This screws up my entire layout.

That said, they need to decide if they are going to continue to support the
VWP pack soon or or will problably go with Icefaces non-visual approach. At
least the icefaces is fully ajax capable.
