sorry, but the problem persist with my app. I have tried the same like you and
it appears that there also the popup menu is positioned far down from
the hyperlink.
I'm on Ubuntu 7.10 and used Firefox. If you have have access to an
Ubuntu box please
check again

I also checked with Mac OS 10.4 Firefox and Safari as well as
WindowsXP Firefox and IE. There,
the popup menu is positioned right when resizing the window size.
