I typically do not set the width as an attribute of the column but
rather try to do everything that I can through CSS. Maybe more thought
needs to be done on this. It's ugly the way it works now with the
columns resizing when the table has no data.
I will probably have to use relative CSS child selectors
(xxx:first-child + th) type of selection to set the width.
Maybe just filing a RFE and thinking about the best solution is all that
can be done now.
