RE: [Shoal-Users] Replacing JXTA

No problem! We are planning to use JXTA but as an option I am also
evaluating the implications of replacing JXTA and what it takes to
plug-in another facility.

Thanks,

Alireza

Subject: Re: [Shoal-Users] Replacing JXTA

Hello Alireza
We have been so focused on getting our Jxta based provider done well, we
have not yet come up with that document yet. Some refactoring at the GMS
to SPI interaction layer also needs to be done in the GMS layer to make
it easier and simpler for you to have your implementation plugged in.

I'd appreciate it if you can give us some time (say a week for the
document and some more for the refactoring to be done). Our time is
currently being consumed by high priority issues that need to be
addressed for Sailfin <http://sailfin.dev.java.net> 's Telco appserver
so our available time is a bit stretched.

Will send out an update here as soon as it is available.

Thanks
Shreedhar

        Shreedhar,

I would appreciate if you could email me a link to a document
describing
the Group membership APIs; I am interested to know what it takes
to
incorporate a new transport layer underneath Shoal so that on
can
plug-in something else other that JXTA.

        Thanks,
