Hi Leonid!

I'm sorry for the slow reply, I had some ISP connectivity problems
yesterday. Thanks for the feedback re: Tomcat. I have been using
GlassFish exclusively for the past few years (as have most of the other
JSFT developers) that I haven't had a chance to fully document how to
use get started w/ Tomcat. The steps are pretty much the same, though. I
think there are some general instructions included in some of the files
you have to change that discuss what is needed for Tomcat users, though.

Anyway, I decided to use your question as an excuse to try it out
myself. Here are the steps I followed to try out the JSFTemplating
"demo" application from scratch (NOTE: I have Java 6, with Ant 1.7,
running on Linux... although Java 5 and any other operating system
should be fine as well).

* Download apache-tomcat-6.0.14.tar.gz
* Extract it
* Download jsf-1_2_04-p02.zip (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net)
* Extract it
* Checkout jsftemplating (see:
https://jsftemplating.dev.java.net/build.html)
* Build JSFTemplating (see JSFT's README.txt file)
* cd jsftemplating/demo
* copy jsf-api.jar and jsf-impl.jar (from jsf-1_2_04-p02.zip) to demo's
WEB-INF/lib directory
* build demo application
* copy demo.war to apache-tomcat-6.0.14/webapps/.
* start tomcat
* Goto: http://localhost:8080/demo

These steps worked for me... if they work for you too, I'll update the
website. The only "extra" step from the GlassFish instructions (I think)
is to copy the JSF .jar files into the app. Note I copied these *before*
I built the "demo" app so that they'd be bundled in the .war file.

Good luck!

Ken
