Hi,

I saw questions on the mailing list and understand your concerns about
JPA future. JPA was not mentioned in Java EE 8 proposal announced during
JavaOne 2016. We are currently evaluating JPA 2.2 MR for Java EE 8. We
are very focused on the delivery of Java EE 8 by JavaOne 2017. JPA 2.2
MR scope will need to account for that. I’ll keep you updated about the
status as soon as we flush out the details.
