I've been cleaning up some of the JIRA issues, and would like to call
your attention to http://java.net/jira/browse/JPA_SPEC-39 ("Clarify
requirements on polymorphic associations").

As noted in the issue, the spec appears to imply (but doesn't explicitly
call out) support for this type of polymorphic relationships.

If you don't think we should explicitly support this, could you please speak up.
