Dear Experts,
Thanks again for all the proposals that have been submitted so far for JMS 2.0, and for providing clarification where I
have requested it. I am now starting to log them in JIRA (combining issues where appropriate) to help us keep track of
what is now a growing list of ideas.
The idea is that we use JIRA as a way of capturing, prioritising and tracking issues. We will use it to record whether
we have rejected an issue, or deferred it to JMS 2.1, or accapted it for JMS 2.0. We may use it to track whether the
appropriate spec or API updates have been made, whether the TCK has been updated, whether the feature has been
implemented in the RA, and so on.
However, although anyone can make comments on a JIRA issue, I would like to ask that we use email for substantive
discussions of JIRA issues rather than JIRA comments. I'll be starting email threads on each issue in a short while,
starting with those which I think are the higher priority (I don't want to try to discuss every issue simultaneously.)
Thanks,
Nigel
