[Jersey] FEEDBACK NEEDED: Switching to maven 3.x

Hello,

we are thinking about switching to Maven 3.x. Currently, Jersey is being
built using Maven 2.2.1 but we are continuously testing compatibility
with Maven 3.x. This doesn't mean you won't be allowed to use previous
Maven versions for your projects, its just about simplifying our build
infrastructure. It theoretically might introduce some regressions which
we won't catch with recent Maven version (although I really doubt it,
from my experience mvn 3.x has stricter checks for pom files so it
shouldn't be a problem).

Any thought? Does anyone have any strong opinion about this? Or reason
why we shouldn't do it?

Thanks!
Pavel
