I logged an issue and described the workaround:

   https://jersey.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1

It can be fixed but requires some non-trivial refactoring of
URITemplateType.

Here are some directions (in order of priority):

1) Include documentation for samples that are missing it i.e. add
    README.html.

2) Automatically generate a samples index.html from all the samples by
analyzing the README.html of the samples (and using meta-data
and/or microformats if necessary in each sample README.html).

3) More examples/samples, with documentation.

4) A general instruction tutorial we can use to replace the existing
    getting-started.html

Any help in any of these areas would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul.
