I used IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.4 as clients, both with and without Fiddler
running, and tried both Jersey latest and stable.

That's what I was thinking but Alexis can't reproduce on Win XP with
jdk 1.6.0_02 i.e. same config as me
Am going to try to reproduce on a different machine.
